Comment regarding "On undershoot in SISO systems"

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1996
A new model of single-input/single-output (SISO) systems is introduced such that undershoot, overshoot, and s-plane zeros cannot occur and which is a generalization of a model commonly used in the process industry.

Robust SISO controller order reduction

2009 American Control Conference, 2009
In this paper a method is proposed to reduce the order of a single-input single-output robust controller. The controller ensures system robust performance and reducing its order may result in loss of robust performance. A lower bound on the controller order is provided using balanced truncation technique which guarantees that the robust performance of ...

UNIVERSAL OUTPUT‐FEEDBACK SISO CONTROLLERS

Asian Journal of Control, 2003
ABSTRACTIt is proved in the paper that practically all known higher‐order sliding controllers can be combined with recently developed 2‐sliding‐mode‐based differentiators yielding universal output‐feedback Single‐Input‐Single‐Output (SISO) controllers. These controllers can be applied at least locally, whenever the system relative degree is known.

Exploring efficiencies of SISO, multi-SISO, and MIMO AVC schemes for floor vibration control

SPIE Proceedings, 2012
Continued advancements in steel and concrete materials as well as improved computer-optimized designs are resulting in more efficient floor structures, which have longer spans and are more lightweight. In addition, there is a tendency for offices to be more open-plan with fewer internal partitions.

MIMO — A Set of SISO ?

1993
Computational complexity hidden behind the apparent elegance of multi-input multi-output (MIMO) ARX model description used for the adaptive control purposes is addressed. A non-standard modelling parametrization exploited for enhancing structure estimation outcomes leads to innovated identification and control design. They respect richness of MIMO case,

UNIVERSAL OUTPUT-FEEDBACK SISO CONTROLLER

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2002
Abstract A universal single-input-single-output (SISO) controller is proposed which is based on higher-order sliding modes and requires output measurements only. The uncertain SISO dynamic system to be controlled is required to have a permanent known-in-advance relative degree. Its exact mathematical model is not needed.
