Analysis of the Prehistoric Artifacts from the Pace McDonald Site (41AN51), Anderson County, Texas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The Pace McDonald site (41AN51) is a poorly known prehistoric Caddo mound center on Mound Prairie Creek in Anderson County, Texas, in the upper Neches River Basin. With the permission of one of the landowners, Mr. Johnny Sanford, the Friends of Northeast

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Outdoor exposure site testing for preventing Alkali-Aggregate Reactivity in concrete – a review.

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
Alkali-silica reaction (ASR) is a deleterious chemical reaction affecting the durability and service life of concrete structures worldwide. Specifications and recommendations were produced in many countries to ensure that non-reactive aggregates are used

Design and Construction of Chassis Dynamometer for On-Site Testing of Tractors [PDF]

open access: yesBiomechanism and Bioenergy Research
Measuring tractor performance parameters is crucial for validating manufacturer claims and selecting a suitable tractor. Field studies often face high costs and inaccuracies due to external factors and limited parameter measurement. A chassis dynamometer

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

The neural crest‐associated gene ERRFI1 is involved in melanoma progression and resistance toward targeted therapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Development of On-site Self-climbing Drill Pipe Testing Device

open access: yesShiyou jixie, 2016
The eddy current detection method can only detect surface and near surface defects of drillpipe, ultrasonic detection method’s high demand for detection environment, complex device structure and the need of coupling agent make it not suitable for drillpipe
