Sgr A* ``Visual Binaries'': A Direct Measurement of the Galactocentric Distance [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We present a new geometrical method for measuring the distance to the Galactic center (R_0) by solving for the Keplerian orbit of individual stars bound to the black hole associated with the Sgr A* from radial velocity and proper motion measurements.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

ELECTROMAGNETIC CALCULATION OF THREE-PHASE ASYNCHRONOUS MOTORS WITH A SIX-PHASE WINDING

open access: yesElectrical engineering & Electromechanics, 2013
Features of electromagnetic computation of three-phase asynchronous motors with a six-phase winding in the stator are described. Experimental data on a conveyor motor with two six-phase windings are given.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Research of harmonic torque ripple of six-phase induction motor

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2014
In order to study operating performance of six-phase induction motor under control of trapezoidal wave phase current, six-phase trapezoidal wave phase current was decomposed into fundamental current and a series of harmonic current by Fourier ...

Model Of Controled Six Phase Induction Motor

open access: yes, 2013
In this paper, the authors take a look at advantages of multiphase induction motors comparing them with three phase ones and present the applications where six-phase induction motors are used. They elaborate the mathematical model of six-phase induction motor with two similar stator three phase winding, shifted by 30 degrees in space and three phase ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Electromagnetic unbalances of six-phase transmission lines

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems, 1989
Abstract In this paper, the electromagnetic unbalance factors of six-phase transmission lines with compact and conventional tower-top configurations, with and without two overhead ground wires, are reviewed and the results presented.
