Helicobacter pylori Growth Stage Determines the Size, Protein Composition, and Preferential Cargo Packaging of Outer Membrane Vesicles

Proteomics, 2018
Gram‐negative bacteria release outer membrane vesicles (OMVs) as part of their normal growth that contain a range of cargo from their parent bacterium, including DNA, RNA, and proteins.

Particle size and composition of composite dusts.

American journal of dentistry, 1990
Inhalation of respirable crystalline silica dusts (sized between 0.5 and 5.0 micrograms) causes silicosis. Crystalline silica fillers are used in some composites and fine dusts/aerosols generated during high-speed finishing of these materials may be regularly inhaled by clinical dental personnel.

Reinforced polypropylene composites: Effects of chemical compositions and particle size

Bioresource Technology, 2010
In this work, the effects of wood species, particle sizes and hot-water treatment on some physical and mechanical properties of wood-plastic composites were studied. Composites of thermoplastic reinforced with oak (Quercus castaneifolia) and pine (Pinus eldarica) wood were prepared.

Compositional Coinduction with Sized Types

2016
Proofs by induction on some inductively defined structure, e. g., finitely-branching trees, may appeal to the induction hypothesis at any point in the proof, provided the induction hypothesis is only used for immediate substructures, e. g., the subtrees of the node we are currently considering in the proof.

CO2 electroreduction on copper-cobalt nanoparticles: Size and composition effect

Nano Energy, 2018
Understanding the changes that a catalyst may experience on its surface during a reaction is crucial in order to establish structure/composition-reactivity correlations.

Protein size and cerebrospinal fluid composition

Klinische Wochenschrift, 1974
The concentration ratios of several proteins between serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) can be correlated more easily to hydrodynamic volumes than to molweights. Hydrodynamic radii were calculated from literature diffusion data and determined by analytical column chromatography and gel electrophoresis.

Characterizing the Size and Composition of Saposin A Lipoprotein Picodiscs

Analytical Chemistry, 2016
Saposin A (SapA) lipoprotein discs, also known as picodiscs (PDs), represent an attractive method to solubilize glycolipids for protein interaction studies in aqueous solution. Recent electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) data suggest that the size and composition of 1-palmitoyl-2-oleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (POPC)-containing PDs at

Note on Composite Size Effect

Journal of Composites Technology and Research, 1989
The purpose of this note is to propose a relation somewhat similar to the size-strength relationship of brittle materials failing in tension in accordance with the Weibull theory. According to the failure theory of composites, a plot of the natural log of failure stress (ln σf) versus the natural log of volume (ln V) for a uniaxially reinforced ...

Body Size and Composition of Perimenarchal Girls

Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine, 1992
A number of measurements are reported on a cross-sectional sample of girls who were studied at times ranging from 54 months prior to menarche to 82 months after menarche. Included are anthropometric measurements, lean weight, body fat, abdomen-hip ratio, skeletal size, bone age, muscle strength, and urinary hydroxyproline excretion. The years preceding

The silane/sizing composite interphase

Polymer Composites, 1993
AbstractSilane coupling agents are but one of many ingredients in commercial sizings that are applied to glass fibers. The chemistry of a silane coupling agent alone allows it to react with both the glass fiber surface and the epoxy matrix to increase the fiber/matrix adhesion.
