Rapid Serological Detection of Anti‐GM‐CSF Autoantibodies in Autoimmune Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis Using a Novel Immunochromatographic Test

open access: yesRespirology, Volume 31, Issue 2, Page 184-192, February 2026.
We developed a novel ICT with high clinical performance that can distinguish APAP patients from those with other pulmonary diseases. The rapid and simple detection of GMAbs in serum provided a new practical method for the diagnosis of APAP. See related editorial ABSTRACT Background and Objectives Anti‐GM‐CSF autoantibodies (GMAbs) are essential ...

First‐in‐Human Study to Evaluate the Safety, Tolerability, Pharmacokinetics, and Pharmacodynamics of ASP1617, a Cathepsin‐S Inhibitor, in Healthy Adult Subjects

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 19, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT ASP1617 is a novel, highly selective inhibitor of cathepsin‐S, an important protease for antigen peptide loading onto major histocompatibility complex class II molecules. Preclinically, ASP1617 prevented progression of lupus‐like glomerulonephritis in an NZB/W F1 mouse model of systemic lupus erythematosus.

Snapshot Look at Castleman Disease

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 3, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Castleman disease (CD) is a rare and heterogeneous group of lymphoproliferative disorders characterised by abnormal proliferation of lymphoid tissue. First described in the 1950s, it has since been classified into two major clinical forms: unicentric CD (UCD), involving a single lymph node region and multicentric CD (MCD), which affects ...
