Abstract Background Gene transcription is crucial for embryo and postnatal development and is regulated by the Mediator complex. Mediator is comprised of four submodules, including the kinase submodule (CKM). The CKM consists of MED13, MED12, CDK8, and CCNC.

The presence of skeletal anomalies in fishes is a by-product of aquaculture and it entails economic, biological and ethical issues. Gilthead seabream and European seabass, Dicentrarchus labrax, have been the first valuable euryhaline species to be ...

Role of SoxE transcription factors in development and disease
Abstract Sox8, Sox9, and Sox10 arose by multiple rounds of genome duplications from a single SoxE gene in ancestral vertebrates. In this review, we will briefly discuss the molecular structure and function of SoxE transcription factors and their evolutionary origin. We will then discuss their expression, function, and developmental disorders.

High resolution real time ultrasonography in antenatal diagnosis of skeletal anomalies
Two protocols were used for the ultrasonographic antenatal diagnosis of skeletal anomalies. The first was less selective and was used in pregnancies with a low risk of skeletal malformations. The second was applied to higher risk pregnancies.

Secretopathies emerge as a new class of neurocristopathies
Abstract Neural crest cells are a transient embryonic population of cells that give rise to a wide range of structures, including craniofacial cartilage and bone, peripheral neurons and glia, as well as components of the cardiac outflow tract, among others.

Abstract Objective Mild malformation of cortical development with oligodendroglial hyperplasia in epilepsy (MOGHE) is an underrecognized pediatric cortical lesion associated with somatic X‐linked SLC35A2 variants in approximately 50% of individuals. The genetic etiology in individuals without detectable SLC35A2 mutations remains undefined, which limits

Evaluation of Drillability of the Mahu Conglomerate Formation in Xinjiang, China
This graphical abstract illustrates the workflow for developing an optimized prediction model using measurement while drilling (MWD) data. A total of 90 MWD cases are divided into a training set (80%) and a test set (20%). Four logging‐while‐drilling parameters—compensation density, acoustic travel time, resistivity, and neutron porosity—are selected ...
