This article proposes a time-efficient and practical design method for determining appropriate skew structures for permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs). Various PMSMs use skew to suppress torque ripple, but 3-D finite element analysis (3-D-FEA) is

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Skew monoidal categories and skew multicategories [PDF]
We describe a perfect correspondence between skew monoidal categories and certain generalised multicategories, called skew multicategories, that arise in nature.

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Obliquely propagating skew KP lumps
Obliquely propagating skew lumps are studied within the framework of the Kadomtsev–Petviashvili equation with a positive dispersion (the KP1 equation). Specific features of such lumps are analysed in detail. It is shown that skew multi-lump solutions can

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Modelling health scores with the skew-normal distribution [PDF]
Health care interventions which use quality of life or health scores often provide data which are skewed and bounded. The scores are typically formed by adding up responses to a number of questions. Different questions might have different weights, but

Skew quantum Murnaghan-Nakayama rule [PDF]
In this extended abstract, we extend recent results of Assaf and McNamara, the skew Pieri rule and the skew Murnaghan-Nakayama rule, to a more general identity, which gives an elegant expansion of the product of a skew Schur function with a quantum power

In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.

Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.
