Skin sensitivity to house dust mite extracts in Ghanaian asthmatics in Accra

Abstract Approximately one third of 40 patients aged between 13 to 40 years with bronchial asthma in Accra showed strongly positive skin tests to house dust mite extracts as compared with 5% of controls. It is suggested that house dust mite sensitivity may be an important factor in bronchial asthma in Accra.
