Studies on Variations in Sky View Factors of a Forest Using an All-Sky Photograph Model.

Asteroid detection at millimetric wavelengths with the Planck survey [PDF]
The Planck mission, originally devised for cosmological studies, offers the opportunity to observe Solar System objects at millimetric and submillimetric wavelengths. We concentrate in this paper on the asteroids of the Main Belt.

The presented study focuses on the fracture behaviour of carbon‐bonded magnesia MgO–C refractories, where environmentally friendly fructose, collagen and lignin serve as temporary binding agents. The partial substitution of the source material with recycled MgO–C reduces the fracture resistance, which can be counteracted by the additional introduction ...

Different aspects in the quantification of the Sky View Factor in complex environments. [PDF]
This paper examines potential applications of the sky view factor (SVF) regarding two- or threedimensional sites. First, the concepts of the radiation budget, Lambert's cosine law and hemispherical description of radiating of en vironments are introduced

Four‐point bending tests are conducted in an argon atmosphere on commercial MgO‐C brick grades with and without MgO‐C recyclate from room temperature up to 1300 °C. No detrimental effect of the MgO‐C recyclates on bending strength is found. Instead, a decisive influence of the total carbon content is observed, with lower total carbon contents ...
