Experimental investigation on seismic behaviour of slab-column connections
Code design of slab-column connections to resist seismically induced drifts is currently based on empirical relationships for both moment and deformation capacity. The results of tests on slabcolumn connections are however sensitive to the conception of the test setup.

This work illustrates how substituting natural gas with hydrogen as fuel in the reheating furnace will influence the oxide scale formation on the steel surface. Thermogravimetric analysis and characterization techniques are used to investigate oxidation behavior and the formation of oxide phases.

Tracing Continental Basalt Sources and Mantle Processes Using Fe Stable Isotopes
Abstract Iron (Fe) isotopes have emerged as powerful tracers of mantle source heterogeneity and melting processes, yet the mechanisms producing heavy Fe isotope signatures (high δ57Fe values) in intraplate basalts remain debated. Competing interpretations include partial melting of recycled pyroxenite domains versus carbonate‐induced oxidation of a ...

Constraining the Permeability and Outer‐Rise Hydration at the Central America Margin
Abstract Subduction zones are important drivers of Earth's geochemical evolution; the presence of water within the subduction system has substantial implications for geohazards, including the style of seismicity and the volume of magma generated at arc volcanoes.

Abstract The melting point depression of water confined in porous media with varying pore sizes has been widely observed. Existing models remain insufficient for describing water phase change in smaller pores (i.e., nano pore), where surface effects become significant and water molecules are inhomogeneously distributed near solid surface.

Abstract Snow on Antarctic sea ice modulates albedo, thermodynamic growth, and snow–ice formation, yet remains a leading uncertainty in altimetry‐derived sea‐ice thickness. Here we use the post‐2022 CRYO2ICE configuration to derive along‐track winter snow thickness from ICESat‐2 laser and CryoSat‐2 Ku‐band radar freeboards over the Weddell and Ross ...

Abstract The tectonic evolution of the northern margin of the North China Craton (NCC) remains controversial. In this study, we obtained zircon U–Pb ages, geochemical data, and Sr–Nd isotopic data for volcanic rocks, and detrital zircon ages for sedimentary rocks from the Yufutun, Tongqigou, and Benxi formations in central‐southern Jilin Province, NE ...

Abstract Oceanic lithosphere formed at the global mid‐ocean ridge system makes up >60% of Earth's solid surface. Its uppermost ∼6 km are accreted either magmatically, where mafic melt is available, or tectonically, where this melt is absent. The magmatically accreted lithosphere is known to evolve with age, as demonstrated by its velocity increase ...

Dynamic Evolution of Forearc Subsidence Controlled by Slab Geometry
Abstract Several subduction zones worldwide present an enigmatic forearc topography and strain characterized by extension at a forearc ridge near the trench and shortening within a forearc valley located between the ridge and the magmatic arc. The development of this topography has been linked to progressive slab steepening, while strain patterns ...

Abstract The Cenozoic India–Eurasia collision drove widespread deformation across Central Asia, culminating in northward indentation of the Pamir and its eventual contact with the South Tianshan. However, the timing and kinematics of Pamir–Tianshan convergence, as well as its influence on regional topography and climate, remain debated. Here, we report
