Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Drying-induced cracks are an important issue for bi-block ballastless track system consisting of foundation, precast sleepers, and cast-in-place track slab, which not only significantly affects the comfortableness and safety of rapid transit railway but ...

We demonstrate a neuromorphic synapse in 2D Fe3GaTe2 flakes. The device operates via a current‐driven transformation from a skyrmion‐lattice to a stripe‐domain state, yielding a linear anomalous Hall resistance response with a tunable slope to enable multiply‐accumulate operations. Simulations confirm its viability in artificial neural networks.

Analysis and Treatment of Floating Slab Track Bed Defects in Shanghai Rail Transit
[Objective] Due to its excellent vibration and noise reduction performance, the floating slab track bed is widely used in urban rail transit. However, with the increasing service time, issues related to the deteriorating conditions of floating slab track

The need and benefit of slab track: case of Lithuania
Slab track structures have been used in the world for several decades now. However, the ballasted track is still much more popular compared to slab track structures, which is primarily due to its lower price. This article reviews and analyses development

Measuring dynamic effects on underpasses of high-speed railway lines [PDF]
Underpasses are common in modern railway lines. Wildlife corridors and drainage conduits often fall into this category of partially buried structures. Their dynamic behaviour has received far less attention than that of other structures such as bridges ...

Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

Buildings in Barcelona protected from railway-induced vibrations with base isolation [PDF]
This work describes two mid-height RC base isolated buildings recently erected in Barcelona. Both buildings are located near the main railway station in Barcelona (Barcelona-Sants), thus undergoing dynamic excitations due to intensive railway traffic ...
