Strengthening Klein’s floor slabs with the use of current norms
The paper presents the effectivity of using the steel-concrete floor slabs in existing buildings. Steel-concrete slabs described in this paper consist of old steel beams which are main structural members of the floor slabs and reinforced concrete slabs ...

Fast Standing Modes in Transversely Nonuniform Solar Coronal Slabs: Effects of a Finite Plasma Beta
We examine the dispersive properties of linear fast standing modes in transversely nonuniform solar coronal slabs with finite gas pressure, or, equivalently, finite plasma beta.

3D Soft Hydrogels Induce Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells “Deep” Quiescence
Three‐dimensional soft hydrogels mimicking the bone marrow niche induce deep quiescence in human mesenchymal stem cells. Unlike 2D culture, 3D matrices halt proliferation, regulate cell‐cycle and quiescence markers, and downregulate mTORC1 signaling, preserving stem cell phenotype and therapeutic potential ex vivo.

Column-Slab Connection In Timber Flat Slabs
With the development of large cross laminated timber (CLT) plates, a new field of possibilities for timber construction has opened. Combined with the invention of a rigid, momentresisting connection between CLT plates, it is possible to create structures like it was so far only achievable with reinforced concrete. The CLT elements can be placed next to

Electric Field Enhancement in {\epsilon}-near-zero Slabs under TM-Polarized Oblique Incidence
We investigate local field enhancement phenomena in subwavelength, {\epsilon}-near-zero (ENZ) slabs that do not exploit Fabry-P\'erot resonances. In particular, we study the linear response of engineered metamaterial slabs of finite thickness based on ...

Fluorene‐functionalized spiro‐phenothiazine (PTZ‐Fl) exhibits strong Li+ affinity and thermal stability, enabling a PCE of 25.75% in small‐area cells and 22.07% in 25 cm2 modules. Under ISOS‐L3 conditions, PTZ‐Flbased devices retain over 80% efficiency after 1000 hours, demonstrating superior stability and scalability compared to spiro‐OMeTAD for next ...

Close or not so close? Provenance studies of megalithic monuments from Alentejo (Portugal) [PDF]
There has been a significant amount of studies about megalithic tombs conducted in the Alentejo region. However the geological provenance of monoliths used in the construction of those tombs usually was not a priority among researchers with rare ...
