A generalization of the multivariate slash distribution [PDF]
, 2009 In this paper, we propose a generalization of the multivariate slash distribution and investigate some of its properties. We show that the new distribution belongs to the elliptically contoured distributions family, and can have heavier tails than the ...

A Power Maxwell Distribution with Heavy Tails and Applications
Mathematics, 2020 In this paper we introduce a distribution which is an extension of the power Maxwell distribution. This new distribution is constructed based on the quotient of two independent random variables, the distributions of which are the power Maxwell ...

Fire intensities and surface temperatures during prescribed burning.
Silva Fennica, 1985 Surface temperature during two prescribed burnings were measured in 1983 in Evo, Southern Finland. Surface temperatures in relation to the amount of slash burned, energy released during the fires, and the fire intensities were studied. The fire intensity

EM Algorithm in the Slash 2S-Lindley Distribution with Applications
AxiomsIn this work, we present a new distribution, which is a slash extension of the distribution of the sum of two independent Lindley random variables. This new distribution is developed using the slash methodology, resulting in a distribution with more ...
