A Unique Signature for Cancer‐Associated Fibroblasts in Melanoma Metastases
In this study, we analyzed the transcriptional signatures of CAFs and normal fibroblasts from murine melanoma primary tumors and corresponding melanoma lung metastases. Single‐cell analysis revealed distinct clusters for primary tumor and metastasis CAFs. In lung metastases Saa3 expression is a hallmark of metastasis CAFs.

Abstract Cytopathology represents a well established diagnostic approach because of its limited cost, reliability, and minimal invasiveness with respect to other methodologies. The evolving complexity of the different classifications systems and the implementation of ancillary techniques to refine the diagnosis is progressively helping in the risk of ...

Renal phosphaturia during metabolic acidosis revisited: molecular mechanisms for decreased renal phosphate reabsorption [PDF]
During metabolic acidosis (MA), urinary phosphate excretion increases and contributes to acid removal. Two Na+-dependent phosphate transporters, NaPi-IIa (Slc34a1) and NaPi-IIc (Slc34a3), are located in the brush border membrane (BBM) of the proximal ...
