Prevalence of sleep disorders in patients with neurofibromatosis type 1

open access: yesNeurología (English Edition), 2015
Introduction: Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is frequently associated with neurological disorders unrelated to neurofibromas, including sleep disorders.

Investigating the Impact of Sleep Stage of the Patients at Which They Wake up on the Stanford Sleepiness Scale After Polysomnography

open access: yesTürk Uyku Tıbbı Dergisi, 2022
Objective:Sleep inertia is a period that cognitive performance and wakefulness are lower in the transition phase from sleep to wakefulness than during the daytime. The sleep inertia period is reported to extend from 1 minute to 4 hours.

New Onset of Fibromyalgia After Exposure to a Combat Environment: A Longitudinal Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Traumatic life events are hypothesized to be triggers for the onset of fibromyalgia. Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a common comorbidity of fibromyalgia. However, limited prospective data are available on the development of fibromyalgia after exposure to high‐magnitude stress.

Functional switching among dynamic neuronal hub-nodes in the brain induces maintenance/transition of cognitive states

open access: yesApplied Network Science
The cognitive states have broadly been divided into waking, rapid eye movement sleep (REMS), and non-REMS (NREMS). The exact mechanism of cognitive state maintenance/transition is unknown to date.

Paternal Circadian Disruption Impairs Offspring Cognition via Sperm microRNAs

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Paternal circadian disruption remodels the sperm small RNA payload, elevating miR‐92a‐3p/miR‐25‐3p levels and perturbing early embryonic gene regulatory programs. Microinjection experiments and single‐embryo transcriptomics reveal sex‐specific developmental vulnerabilities, ultimately impairing offspring hippocampal synaptic plasticity and cognition ...

Personalized Network‐Guided Neuromodulation Enhances Human Working Memory

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A personalized neuromodulation framework combining individualized functional brain network targeting with real‐time neural decoding is introduced. Using concurrent TMS–fMRI, participant‐specific stimulation targets and optimal frequencies are identified. Only optimal‐frequency stimulation improves working memory across sessions.

Sleep and restless legs syndrome in female adolescents with idiopathic musculoskeletal pain

open access: yesJornal de Pediatria (Versão em Português), 2020
Objectives: To assess the presence of restless legs syndrome, periodic leg movement, and sleep disorders in female adolescents with idiopathic musculoskeletal pain through a sleep scale and polysomnography, and to compare these data in adolescents ...

Biolipid Film‐Fused Electrochemiluminescence for Multipurpose In Situ Bioassays

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ECL‐emissive, membrane‐interactive scaffold was fabricated, and facilely fused with natural and non‐native phospholipids into multifactorial mimicries of cytomembranes and vesicles for in vitro representative membrane‐process probing. Such a biointerface‐based, state‐sensitive ECL paradigm not only pinpointed proximal phenomena, including channeling
