The association between gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS) has recently been suggested. Patients with OSAS have a high frequency of nocturnal GER, and patients with GERD have various sleep-related symptom such as snoring and apnea.
