Content-Aware SLIC Super-Pixels for Semi-Dark Images (SLIC++) [PDF]
Super-pixels represent perceptually similar visual feature vectors of the image. Super-pixels are the meaningful group of pixels of the image, bunched together based on the color and proximity of singular pixel.

The success of cluster analysis for revealing natural grouping in a dataset depends heavily on the chosen dissimilarity measure. Recently, several attempts have been made to replace the popular Euclidean distance measure for dissimilarity with divergences that are known to disobey triangular inequality.

BSLIC: SLIC Superpixels Based on Boundary Term
A modified method for better superpixel generation based on simple linear iterative clustering (SLIC) is presented and named BSLIC in this paper. By initializing cluster centers in hexagon distribution and performing k-means clustering in a limited region, the generated superpixels are shaped into regular and compact hexagons.

SLIC Superpixels Compared to State-of-the-Art Superpixel Methods [PDF]
Computer vision applications have come to rely increasingly on superpixels in recent years, but it is not always clear what constitutes a good superpixel algorithm. In an effort to understand the benefits and drawbacks of existing methods, we empirically compare five state-of-the-art superpixel algorithms for their ability to adhere to image boundaries,

Rapid one-step CRISPR-cas vector assembly by isothermal spacer removal linearization and sequence-ligation independent cloning (ISRL-SLIC) [PDF]
CRISPR-Cas genome editing is a powerful tool in various fields, but current cloning methods can be time-consuming due to the frequent use of intermediate entry vectors and multiple steps involving restriction enzymes and ligases. These multiple steps can
