Application of discrete time sliding mode control to a spacecraft in 6DoF

open access: yes
This paper presents the application of two separate discrete time sliding mode controllers, developed in conjunction with a potential function guidance method, to provide control in both position and attitude for a rigid, holonomic spacecraft body.

ALDOA Promotes Glycolysis and NLRP3/GSDMD Pyroptosis to Accelerate ALS Progression

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Glycolytic dysregulation is implicated in disease progression, yet the underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigates how Aldolase A (ALDOA) drives ALS progression through glycolysis‐mediated motor neuron pyroptosis.

Sliding Mode Control of a Class of Hybrid-Switched Systems with Disturbances

open access: yesMathematics
This paper investigates the problem of sliding mode control for a class of hybrid switched systems with matching disturbances. Firstly, a sliding mode surface is designed, and the corresponding sliding mode equation for the switched system is derived ...

Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of Inebilizumab Versus Rituximab in AQP4‐IgG‐Positive NMOSD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rituximab (anti‐CD20, RTX) and inebilizumab (anti‐CD19, INE) represent B‐cell‐depleting therapies used for aquaporin‐4 antibody‐positive (AQP4‐IgG+) neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD); however, direct comparative evidence remains limited.

Experimental Evaluation of 100Cr6 Steel Microindented Surfaces Under Lubricated Nonconformal Point Contacts

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The tribological behavior of 100Cr6 steel spheres textured via Vickers microindentation is evaluated under lubricated sliding by varying both dimple size and density. Fine and dense textures significantly reduce friction across all lubrication regimes, while large dimples increase it.

Sensorless Control of PMSM Based on Fuzzy Sliding Mode Observer and Non-Singular Terminal Sliding Mode Control

open access: yesApplied Sciences
To address the chattering phenomenon and sensitivity to load disturbances in conventional sliding mode observers (SMO) for sensorless permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) control, this paper proposes a robust sensorless control strategy integrating ...

Sliding mode varable structure control design principles and application to DC drives [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Interests in the application of sliding mode control technique in variable speed drives have increased in recent years. It is well known that a distinguished property of a sliding mode control technique is its insensitivity to system uncertainties and ...

Thermomechanical Fatigue and Creep–Fatigue Interaction of Inconel 718 Additively Manufactured by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated
