Simulation Analysis of Friction Moment Characteristic of Rolling-sliding Bearing
It is difficult to measure the friction torque of bearing parts in practice. In order to study the variation law of the friction torque of rolling-sliding bearings and the influence of the structure parameters on it, the simulation analysis of rolling ...

Effect of oxygen, methyl mercaptan, and methyl chloride on friction behavior of copper-iron contacts [PDF]
Sliding friction experiments were conducted with an iron rider on a copper disk and a copper rider on an iron disk. The sputter cleaned iron and copper disk surfaces were saturated with oxygen, methyl mercaptan, and methyl chloride at atmospheric ...

Static and Dry Friction due to Multiscale Surface Roughness
It is shown on the basis of scaling arguments that a disordered interface between two elastic solids will quite generally exhibit static and "dry friction" (i.e., kinetic friction which does not vanish as the sliding velocity approaches zero), because of

Ti6Al4V‐Bioglass‐Copper Composites for Load‐Bearing Implants
We have designed and manufactured a novel Ti64‐based composite by adding 45S5 bioglass (BG) and copper (Cu). Adding BG on titanium improves wear resistance and biocompatibility, whereas Cu addition improves mechanical strength while providing inherent lifelong bacterial resistance.

INFLUENCE OF THE NORMAL FORCE ON THE SLIDING FRICTION UNDER ULTRASONIC OSCILLATIONS
The paper is devoted to an experimental investigation of the sliding friction force between a rapidly oscillating sample and a rotating steel plate. The sliding friction force is studied experimentally as a function of the oscillating amplitude, the ...
