Record Energy Storage Performance Metrics in Ferroelectric Hafnia‐Based Films through Heterostructure Design

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Dielectric capacitors typically struggle to achieve both high energy storage density and high efficiency at applied voltages below 10 V. Here, we address this challenge by introducing a novel hybrid fluorite/perovskite heterostructure design that combines ultra‐high recoverable energy storage density with efficient energy release (Uf ≈ 1016 J/cm3), at ...

Expression stromale de CD10 dans les cancers du sein: marqueur de mauvais pronostic

open access: yesThe Pan African Medical Journal, 2020

Wound Geometry Determines Whether Aligned‐Fiber Scaffolds Accelerate or Impede Diabetic Wound Healing: A Biased Random Walk Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Wound closure is governed by geometry‐orientation coupling: aligned fibers speed migration along their axis but hinder perpendicular advance. In vivo diabetic wound experiments with composition‐matched fibrin, combined with an anisotropic diffusion (biased random‐walk) model, quantify this trade‐off and generate a healing landscape.

Slimming and regularization of cozero maps [PDF]

open access: yesCategories and General Algebraic Structures with Applications, 2017
Cozero maps are generalized forms of cozero elements. Two particular cases of cozero maps, slim and regular cozero maps, are significant. In this paper we present methods to construct slim and regular cozero maps from a given  cozero map.

Inside-Out Meniscal Repair: Still a Useful Technique

open access: yesVideo Journal of Sports Medicine, 2022
Background: New generation of all-inside meniscal repair devices are now the preferred repairing method for most orthopedic surgeons. The economic considerations in low-income countries make routine use of these devices very difficult.

Topology and Material Optimization in Ultra‐Soft Magneto‐Active Structures: Making Advantage of Residual Anisotropies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...

Plasmonic Nanomachines: Creating Local Potential Gradients and Motions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Plasmonic nanomachines can generate optical, thermal, and chemical potential gradients to drive directional rectilinear, rotational, and twisting motions at the nanometer scale. The integration of multimodal plasmonic forces with functional materials and programmed structural distortions enables precise spatiotemporal actuation, thereby providing a ...

Toxic megacolon complicating a first course of Crohn’s disease: about two cases

open access: yesClinics and Practice, 2013
Toxic megacolon is a rare and serious complication of Crohn’s disease. Because of the associated high morbidity and mortality, early recognition and management of toxic megacolon is important.
