Slip model of the 17 November 2015 Mw = 6.5 Lefkada earthquake from the joint inversion of geodetic and seismic data

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2016
We inferred the rupture process of the 2015 Lefkada earthquake by combining teleseismic and near‐field strong motion data, together with static and dynamic GPS displacements. The joint inversion of all data sets revealed a relatively complex slip pattern

Multi-Segment Rupture Model of the 2016 Kumamoto Earthquake Revealed by InSAR and GPS Data

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
The 2016 Kumamoto earthquake, including two large (Mw ≥ 6.0) foreshocks and an Mw 7.0 mainshock, occurred in the Hinagu and Futagawa fault zones in the middle of Kyushu island, Japan.

区域宽频地震波形反演所揭示的2022年青海门源MS6.9地震震源破裂过程

open access: yesDizhen xuebao, 2023

A New Approach to Calculate Earthquake Slip Distributions

open access: yesEos, 2021
A transdimensional, probabilistic approach is more flexible than traditional least squares fits and provides better handling of sharply varying slip distributions.

Enhancing Strength and Electrical Conductivity in Al–Zr–Sc Conductor Alloys Through Sn and Sr Microalloying and Two‐Step Aging Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Trace additions of Sn and Sr combined with a two‐step aging treatment are shown to enhance the microstructure and performance of Al–Zr–Sc conductor alloys. Strength and electrical conductivity increase concurrently through accelerated precipitation of fine Al3(Sc, Zr) precipitates and improved dislocation resistance, offering a cost‐effective pathway ...

Modeling of Knudsen layer effects in micro/nanoscale gas flows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We propose a power-law based effective mean free path (MFP) model so that the Navier-Stokes-Fourier equations can be employed for the transition-regime flows typical of gas micro/nanodevices.

Trench‐Breaching Rupture of the 2025 Mw 8.8 Kamchatka Earthquake and How It Repeats the 1952 Event

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters
The 29 July 2025 Mw 8.8 Kamchatka earthquake generated a trans‐Pacific tsunami. The hypocenter was nearly at the same location as the 1952 great earthquake (Mw 8.8–9.0).

Simultaneous estimation of the dip angles and slip distribution on the faults of the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake through a weak nonlinear inversion of InSAR data

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2016
At the 2016 Kumamoto earthquake, surface ruptures were observed not only along the Futagawa fault, where main ruptures occurred, but also along the Hinagu fault. To estimate the slip distribution on these faults, we extend a method of nonlinear inversion

Thermomechanical Fatigue and Creep–Fatigue Interaction of Inconel 718 Additively Manufactured by Laser Beam Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Thermomechanical fatigue tests of laser beam powder bed fusion (PBF‐LB) Inconel 718 show that the additively manufactured material reaches almost the lifetimes of conventionally‐rolled material under no‐dwell conditions. Introducing dwell times at the maximum temperature markedly reduces the lifetimes due to pronounced grain boundary sliding associated

Defining the Relationship between Seismicity and Deformation at Regional and Local Scales [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this thesis, I use source inversion methods to improve understanding of crustal deformation along the Nyainquentanglha (NQTL) Detachment in Southern Tibet and the Piceance Basin in northwestern Colorado.
