Magneto-polar fluid flow through a porous medium of variable permeability in slip flow regime

open access: yes, 2016
A theoretical study is carried out to obtain an analytical solution of free convective heat transfer for the flow of a polar fluid through a porous medium with variable permeability bounded by a semi-infinite vertical plate in a slip flow regime.

Blood Biomarkers and Surface‐Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy for Gout: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustrating gout disease progression from asymptomatic hyperuricemia to chronic tophaceous disease, highlighting the limitations of conventional imaging and biochemical diagnostics and the potential of engineered SERS platforms for ultrasensitive blood‐based detection of urate‐related biomarkers across disease stages, with the color gradient

Computational Fluid Dynamics Analysis of Slip Flow and Heat Transfer at the Entrance Region of a Circular Pipe

open access: yesApplied Sciences
In the era of sustainable development goals (SDGs), energy efficient heat transfer systems are a must. Convective heat transfer within circular pipes is an important field of research on a rarely addressed limitation of fluid flows. Vacuum solar tubes is

Evaluation of Slip Effects in the Capillary Flow of Foams

open access: yesApplied Rheology, 1999
Foams have been prepared from water added with a surfactant (Sodium-Dodecyl-Sulfate, SDS) and a polymer (Poly-Ethylene-Oxide, PEO) at different concentrations. This work was devoted to a study of the flow properties of the foams.

Study of pulsatile pressure-driven electroosmotic flows through an elliptic cylindrical microchannel with the Navier slip condition

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2017
This paper aims to study an unsteady electric field-driven and pulsatile pressure-driven flow of a Newtonian fluid in an elliptic cylindrical microchannel with Navier boundary wall slip.

A Molecular Shielding Strategy to Develop Low Protein Binding, Renal Clearable Pan‐Cancer Near‐Infrared Probes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A molecular shielding strategy to convert “protein‐sticky” and “non‐tumor specific” clinical ICG dye, into a “low protein binding” and “tumor‐targeting” dye with prolonged blood circulation and renal clearance is described. These shielded ICGs demonstrate strong tumor accumulation and optimal tissue clearance, resulting in high tumor‐to‐background ...

Vorticity‐Driven µ‐Platelet Rotation and Selective Packing for Vertical Thermal–Electrical Interconnects

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a capillary‐filtering‐based particle‐filling (CFPF) process that simultaneously forms vertical thermal pathways and electrical vias within µ‐pores. In situ microfluidic analysis reveals that capillary‐driven velocity gradients generate vorticity that governs µ‐platelet rotation and vertical alignment.
