A Mixed Lubrication Model for Predicting the Lubrication Performance Degradation Behavior of Slipper Pair in Early Wear Failure

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
To reveal the lubrication performance degradation mechanism of the slipper pair in the high-pressure piston pump during early wear failure. The three-dimensional fractal function has been used to construct the surface morphology of the slipper, and ...

Effect of Adding a Styrene-Butadiene Rubber Damper to A Sled Sample and Extraction of Its Equivalent Stiffness and Damping [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Advanced Design and Manufacturing Technology, 2023
Protection of sled systems from destructive vibrations is inevitably under attraction due to the importance of sled testing in the aerospace industry. A pair of SBR dampers were used between the slipper and the sled body to reduce vertical vibrations, so

Diversification of cephalic shield shape and antenna in phyllosoma I of slipper and spiny lobsters (Decapoda: Achelata)

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science, 2023
Slipper (Scyllaridae) and spiny (Palinuridae) lobsters show a complex life cycle with a planktonic larval phase, named phyllosoma. This unique larval form within Achelata (Decapoda) is characterized by a transparent dorsoventrally compressed body and a ...

Friction and Wear Study on Friction Pairs with a Biomimetic Non-smooth Surface of 316L Relative to CF/PEEK under a Seawater Lubricated Condition

open access: yesChinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering, 2019
Current studies of a seawater axial piston pump mainly solve the problems of corrosion and wear in a slipper pair by selecting materials with corrosion resistance, self-lubrication, and wear resistance.

Dynamic Prediction Model for Uneven Slipper Wear Under Complex Lubrication Conditions Considering Lubrication–Wear Coupling

open access: yesLubricants
It is difficult to experimentally determine the real-time wear coefficient of a slipper pair under complex lubrication conditions. To address this challenge, this study proposes a predictive method for slipper wear, eliminating the need for experimental ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.
