Sampled fiber grating based-dispersion slope compensator
IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, 1999We propose a novel design for a compact dispersion slope compensator based on sampled fiber Bragg gratings. By chirping the sample function in a sampled grating, we show that the dispersion slope can be controlled to match that of current transmission fibers.

Slope Compensating DCF for S-band Raman Amplifier
Optical Amplifiers and Their Applications, 2001S-band DCF suitable for DCRA was developed. It can compensate dispersion slope of SMF between 1470nm and 1500nm completely. The DCRA using this fiber compensates attenuation loss of transmission line with same pumping power as conventional DCF.

No.98TH8398), 2002The dispersion of zero and/or non-zero dispersion shifted fiber (DSF) at 1550 nm was compensated to be flat about 30 nm band-range, by connecting with dispersion slope compensating fiber, with negative slope of 20 times larger absolute value than DSF.
