ROCK MASS QUALITY EFFECTED BY LINEAMENT USING ROCK MASS RATING (RMR)– CASE STUDY FROM FORMER QUARRY SITE [PDF]

open access: yesEarth Science Malaysia, 2017
Lineament plays major role in stability and strength of rock mass. The presence of lineaments will decrease the strength of rock mass. Lineament can be identified or trace using topographic map, aerial photographs or satellite images. In this research,

An Analysis of Slope Stability in the Penipe–Baños Road by Applying Empirical Methods, Kinematic Analysis and Remote Photogrammetry Techniques

open access: yesGeosciences, 2023
The purpose of this work is to analyze the stability of four slopes along the Penipe–Baños road, which is situated in the provinces of Chimborazo and Tungurahua and where there are occasionally rockfalls that hinder passage and endanger road users.

Kestabilan Lereng Tambang Batubara dengan Pendekatan Baru Metode Empirik Klasifikasi Massa Batuan

open access: yesEthos: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, 2019
. Rock mass classification is one of the empirical methods for slope stability analysis approach. Rock mass clasification systems that have been developed such as RSR “Rock Structur Rating”  (Wickham et al., 1972),  RMR “Rock Mass Rating” (Bienieawski ...

The NGC 5846 Group: Dynamics and the Luminosity Function to M_R=-12

open access: yes, 2005
We conduct a photometric and spectroscopic survey of a 10 sq. deg. region surrounding the nearby NGC 5846 group of galaxies, using the Canada-France-Hawaii and Keck I telescopes to study the population of dwarf galaxies as faint as M_R=-10.

Slope mass rating of rock slopes of the Malekhu River, central Nepal Lesser Himalaya

open access: yesJournal of Nepal Geological Society, 2014
The Malekhu River is one of the major tributaries of the Trishuli Ganga River fl owing from the south in Malekhu region, central Nepal. Riverbank slope stability is a topic of concern as rock mass condition and slope stability of riverbank slopes are important parameters for riverbank erodibility.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
