Theoretical Models of Slope Stability Analysis in The Maqlub Mountain Rock Cut Routes, North Iraq
In many sections, the road leading up to the top of Maqlub Mountain is dangerous due to the fall of several rocks. There were six locations recognized for this dynamic geological process, rockfalls of varying sizes, with very large measurements up to 230

Modelling urban floods using a finite element staggered scheme with porosity and anisotropic resistance [PDF]
Artificial porosity models for urban flooding use porosity as a statistical descriptor for the presence of buildings, which are then treated as subgridscale features. Computational efficiency makes porosity models attractive for large-scale applications.

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...

Engineering geological assessment of the Barwas landslide Himachal Pradesh
Slope failures are very common during the monsoon season in hilly terrains. The occurrence can be attributed to the interaction of various controlling factors, including geological structures, terrain morphology, hydrological processes, and human-induced

The faint end of the galaxy luminosity function
We present and discuss optical measurements of the faint end of the galaxy luminosity function down to M_R = -10 in five different local environments of varying galaxy density and morphological content. The environments we studied, in order of decreasing

A Mixed-Effects Location Scale Model for Dyadic Interactions. [PDF]
We present a mixed-effects location scale model (MELSM) for examining the daily dynamics of affect in dyads. The MELSM includes person and time-varying variables to predict the location, or individual means, and the scale, or within-person variances.

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.
