ZigZag Decodable Coded Slotted ALOHA

2018 15th Workshop on Positioning, Navigation and Communications (WPNC), 2018
We propose ZigZag decodable coded slotted ALOHA (ZDCSA) by applying ZigZag decoding (ZD) into ALOHA scheme with successive interference cancellation (SIC), namely coded ALOHA. It is known that the throughput performance of coded ALOHA schemes degrades when a channel traffic is high.

Non-asymptotic Coded Slotted ALOHA

2019 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT), 2019
Coding for random access communication is a key challenge in Internet of Things applications. In this paper, the well-known scheme of Coded Slotted Aloha (CSA) is considered and its performance is analyzed in the non-asymptotic regime where the frame length and the number of users are finite.

On the instability of slotted ALOHA multiaccess algorithm

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1983
The authors consider a discrete Markov chain that describes the slotted ALOHA multiaccess algorithm for the infinite user model [see \textit{G. Fayolle}, \textit{E. Gelenbe} and \textit{J. Labetoulle}, J. Assoc. Comput. Mach. 24, 375-386 (1977; Zbl 0364.94004)].

On colliding first messages in slotted ALOHA

2008 IEEE 19th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2008
Considering n nodes performing random access using ALOHA with s slots, we study the probability that there occurs a non-colliding message in the first non-empty slot. If each node transmits with probability p in each slot and the number of slots is sufficiently large, a non-colliding first message occurs with probability Phi = 1-np/2 for large n and ...

Differentiated quality of service: slotted ALOHA

Proceedings. 13th International Conference on Computer Communications and Networks (IEEE Cat. No.04EX969), 2005
This paper shows how the diversity slotted ALOHA multiple access scheme can very simply be extended to offer a premium quality of service to a subset of users. Diversity slotted ALOHA is a generalization of the classic slotted ALOHA in which a user transmits multiple copies of the same message.

Mobile radio slotted ALOHA with capture and diversity

Wireless Networks, 1995
The slotted ALOHA protocol in a mobile radio environment, in the presence of Ricean fading, twofold antenna diversity and multiple reception capability, is considered. The capture probabilities and the average throughput are computed, and the issue of stability is addressed.

Analysis of Mobile Radio Slotted ALOHA Networks

IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 1984
Given a mobile terminal transmitting a message to some receiver, the level at the receiver will be affected by path loss and by fading phenomena. Transmissions from different terminals will suffer different attenuations on their respective ways to the receiver and will therefore yield different levels at the receiver.
