The Unhurried Universe: A Continued Search for Long Term Variability in ASAS-SN
We search a sample of 5,685,060 isolated sources in the All Sky Automated Survey for SuperNovae (ASAS-SN) with 14 ...

New Approach to Fast and Hyperstable State Observers for Stochastic and Complex Systems
This paper is concerned with the fast state observer for a class of continuous-time linear systems with unknown bounded parameters and sufficiently slowly time varying which satisfy the usual assumptions of conventional state observer for time-invariant ...

Quasi-static hydrodynamic limits
We consider hydrodynamic limits of interacting particles systems with open boundaries, where the exterior parameters change in a time scale slower than the typical relaxation time scale. The limit deterministic profiles evolve quasi-statically.

Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Traditional Underwater Acoustic Communication (UAC) typically assumes static or slowly varying channels over short observation periods and models multipath amplitude fluctuations with single-state statistical distributions. However, field measurements in

Zero-Forcing DFE Transceiver Design Over Slowly Time-Varying MIMO Channels Using ST-GTD [PDF]
This paper considers the optimization of transceivers with decision feedback equalizers (DFE) for slowly time-varying memoryless multi-input multi-output (MIMO) channels. The data vectors are grouped into space-time blocks (ST-blocks) for the spatial

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Criticality of tuning in athermal phase transitions
We experimentally address the importance of tuning in athermal phase transitions, which are triggered only by a slowly varying external field acting as tuning parameter.
