Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

Self-Normalized Weak Invariance Principle for Mixing Sequences [PDF]

open access: yes
In this article we give a necessary and su±cient condition for a selfnormalized weak invariance principle, in the case of a strictly stationary Á-mixing sequence fXjgj¸1.

RaMBat: Accurate identification of medulloblastoma subtypes from diverse data sources with severe batch effects

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
To integrate multiple transcriptomics data with severe batch effects for identifying MB subtypes, we developed a novel and accurate computational method named RaMBat, which leveraged subtype‐specific gene expression ranking information instead of absolute gene expression levels to address batch effects of diverse data sources.

A Window Width Optimized S-Transform

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2008
Energy concentration of the S-transform in the time-frequency domain has been addressed in this paper by optimizing the width of the window function used.

A holographic cut-off inspired in the apparent horizon

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2018
In this work we consider a general function for the $$c^{2}$$ c2 term that appears in the conventional expression for the holographic dark energy in a FLRW curved spacetime. The cut-off prospective is inspired in the apparent horizon length. By exploring

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

Separation of Rapidly-Varying and Slowly-Varying Processes and Development of Diffraction Decomposition Order Method in Radiative Transfer

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Single scattering in radiative transfer is separated into rapidly-varying and slowly-varying processes, where the rapidly-varying process (RVP) is mainly contributed by the diffraction effect. Accordingly, the diffraction decomposition order (DDO) method

Modelling bursty time series

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2013
Many human-related activities show power-law decaying interevent time distribution with exponents usually varying between 1 and 2. We study a simple task-queuing model, which produces bursty time series due to the non-trivial dynamics of the task list ...

Limit distributions of vertex degrees in a conditional configuration graph

open access: yesTransactions of the Karelian Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 2018
The configuration graph where vertex degrees are independent identically distributed random variables is often used for  modeling of complex networks such as the Internet. We consider a random graph consisting of   N vertices.

A new approach to the design of time varying control systems with application to the space shuttle booster [PDF]

open access: yes
A general approach toward the analysis and design of closed loop control for slowly time-varying linear systems was investigated. The approach is by the method of generalized multiple scales, in which slow and fast dynamics are systematically separated ...
