Identifying Velopharyngeal Dysfunction in Head and Neck Cancer Patients

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
We evaluated the clinical presentation and treatment patterns of velopharyngeal dysfunction (VPD) following head and neck cancer therapy across three academic institutions. VPD demonstrated a highly variable and delayed onset, with radiation‐associated cases developing after a mean of 8.5 years and many patients presenting more than 10 years after ...

Semi‐mechanistic population PK/PD model to aid clinical understanding of myelodysplastic syndromes following treatment with Venetoclax and Azacitidine

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 448-459, March 2025.
Abstract Myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) represent a group of bone marrow disorders involving cytopenias, hypercellular bone marrow, and dysplastic hematopoietic progenitors. MDS remains a challenge to treat due to the complex interplay between disease‐induced and treatment‐related cytopenias.

Impact of data assimilation on Arctic sea‐ice thickness variability and its coupling with atmospheric forcing

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
We document for the first time how the assimilation of CS2SMOS observations improves the model representation of Arctic sea‐ice thickness (SIT) and its variability: biases are reduced (top row), while excessive variability in the Beaufort Sea and lack of variability in the ice pack are both corrected (bottom row).

Asymmetry in the effect of North Atlantic sea surface temperature on the eddy‐driven jet

open access: yesQuarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, EarlyView.
Projections of climate over Europe and the Atlantic are uncertain due to the uncertainty surrounding future changes in North Atlantic sea surface temperatures (SSTs). Here, we demonstrate that warming in the North Atlantic Ocean is linked to a transition to a negative phase of the North Atlantic Oscillation, as well as to an equatorward displacement of
