A novel method for detecting lake ice cover using optical satellite data
Seasonal lake ice is sensitive to temperature fluctuations and long-term temperature trends. It is therefore a good indicator of climate warming, which will likely have dramatic impacts on lake ice phenology in northern latitudes.

Ground calibration of Sentinel-3 SLSTR thermal infrared bands and validation of LST algorithms
Land surface temperature (LST) is an important variable for studying environmental changes and monitoring the Earth climate system. The SLSTR on board Sentinel-3A and 3B satellites is a key sensor that provides LST data on a global scale with daily ...

Harmonization of Space-Borne Infra-Red Sensors Measuring Sea Surface Temperature
Sea surface temperature (SST) is observed by a constellation of sensors, and SST retrievals are commonly combined into gridded SST analyses and climate data records (CDRs).

Evaluation of High‐Resolution CORDEX‐CMIP6 Ocean Temperature Simulations for the Great Barrier Reef
Abstract Longevity of the Great Barrier Reef (GBR) relies on specific oceanic and atmospheric conditions that are quickly deteriorating under climate change. While global climate models (GCMs) provide insights into large‐scale processes, they often lack the resolution to capture regional nuances affecting the GBR.

ABSTRACT The potential of optical satellites for the spatial prediction of soil organic carbon (SOC) and total nitrogen (STN) has long been recognized. Owing to their balanced spatial–temporal resolution, multisource observational capabilities, and unprecedented availability of free data, Sentinel satellites offer unique opportunities for mapping soil ...
