Photocatalytic Water Splitting on the Lunar Surface: Prospects for In Situ Resource Utilization
Water has been found in craters on the moon nearby locations which are illuminated >80% of the time. Photocatalysis uses energy from sunlight to drive chemical reactions such as water splitting to produce oxygen and hydrogen. It is a scalable technology that requires lighter equipment and utilizes resources available on the moon. ABSTRACT The discovery

Ammonia emissions from slurry applications to land [PDF]
Over the last 10-15 years there has been increasing concern within Europe as to the effects of ammonia emission and subsequent deposition to sensitive ecosystems, causing eutrophication and soil acidification. Transboundary transport of emissions has led

A slurry drying plant, a method for drying slurry and use of a slurry drying plant
Disclosed is a slurry drying plant (1) comprising a slurry inlet (2) for feeding slurry to the slurry drying plant (1) and two or more meshing screw conveyors (3, 4) arranged to at least partly divide the slurry while conveying the slurry in a transport direction from the slurry inlet (2) to a slurry outlet (5).

The wear of materials in hydraulic transport pipelines
Bibliography: leaves 60-68.The hydraulic transportation of particulate solids through pipelines results in wear of the pipeline walls. The lifetime of the pipeline is determined by this rate of material loss and is therefore critical to the designer. Due

Cost of abating greenhouse gas emissions from UK dairy farms by anaerobic digestion of slurry
As a sector, agriculture in the UK is responsible for 43% of the methane (CH4) and 80% of the nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions, greenhouse gases (GHG) with global warming potentials of 21 and 310, respectively.
