Modeling Dielectric Erosion in Multi-Step Copper Chemical-Mechanical Polishing [PDF]
A formidable challenge in the present multi-step Cu CMP process, employed in the ultra-large-scale integration (ULSI) technology, is the control of wafer surface non-uniformity, which primarily is due to dielectric erosion and Cu dishing.

Slurry Flow and Erosion Prediction in a Centrifugal Pump after Long-Term Operation
After long-term operation, the material loss due to slurry erosion often leads to significant changes in the impeller geometry. This change can, in turn, affect the flow characteristics and the erosion mechanism in a centrifugal pump. To investigate this

Wear of human teeth: a tribological perspective [PDF]
The four main types of wear in teeth are attrition (enamel-on-enamel contact), abrasion (wear due to abrasive particles in food or toothpaste), abfraction (cracking in enamel and subsequent material loss), and erosion (chemical decomposition of the tooth)

Aqueous ammonium‐ion batteries leverage hydrogen‐bond‐mediated NH4+ storage in tunable transition metal compounds. Despite progress in Mn‐, V‐, Mo‐, and W‐based compounds, 2D LDHs, and MXenes, challenges like structural instability and slow kinetics persist. Future advances require robust host design, mechanistic understanding via operando studies, and
