Sm2+ Spectra in Lanthanum Fluoride
AbstractOptical spectra and conductivity of LaF3, containing Sm2+, were studied. Three groups of emission lines near 560-620nm, 650-690nm and 680-770nm at 7.9K were attributed to the transitions from 5D2, 5D1, 5D0 to 7Fj levels of Sm2+. Emission of 5D0 has decay time 8.9ms and quenching at temperatures 70-160K.

Luminescence properties of Sm2+-activated barium chloroborates [PDF]
The luminescence properties of Sm2+-activated stoichiometric and non-stoichiometric Ba2B5O9Cl were investigated from 16 to 450 K. In stoichiometric Ba2B5O9Cl, the emission spectra of Sm2+ are composed of 4f6-4f6 transitions over the 16-450K temperature range studied.

Light yield and thermal quenching of Ce3+ and Pr3+ co-doped LaBr3:Sm2+ near-infrared scintillators [PDF]
LaBr3:Ce3+ is a compound with excellent scintillation properties, but its ultraviolet emission does not match well with the detection efficiency curves of silicon based photodetectors.

White Globe Appearance Is an Endoscopic Predictor of Metachronous Multiple Gastric Cancers. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Objectives White globe appearance (WGA) is a small white lesion with a globular shape identified during magnifying endoscopy with narrow‐band imaging. However, the association between WGA and metachronous gastric cancer remains unclear. Methods This study involved patients who underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for first‐episode ...

Photo-excited state and its relaxation of Sm2+ in Al2O3-SiO2 [PDF]
Fluorescene and optical excitation spectra of the Sm2+and Sm3+ in Al2O3-SiO2 glasses prepared by the sol-gel method are investigated. When the Sm3+-doped glass is heated in H2, the Sm3+ ions are reduced to the Sm2+ ions.

The luminescence of Sm2+ in alkaline earth borophosphates [PDF]
The temperature-dependent luminescence of Sm2+ ions in MBPO5 (M = Ca2+, Sr 2+, Ba2+ was studied. At low temperature, Sm2+ in this series shows 4f6-4f6 luminescence with only a single emission line observed for the 5D0→7F0 transition, revealing that ...
