Model simplification of signal transduction pathway networks via a hybrid inference strategy

open access: yes, 2008
A full-scale mathematical model of cellular networks normally involves a large number of variables and parameters. How to effectively develop manageable and reliable models is crucial for effective computation, analysis and design of such systems.

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Research on modeling of modified phase-shifted full-bridge DC/DC converters

open access: yesDianzi Jishu Yingyong, 2018
To overcome the shortcomings of the full-bridge DC/DC converter topology for on-board charger, an improved phase-shifted full-bridge converter topology is suggested, and its working principle is analyzed when it operates in the discontinuous current mode ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Small signal equivalent circuit model of vertical cavity surface emitting lasers

open access: yes, 2001
Small signal equivalent circuit model of vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSEL's) is given in this paper. The modulation properties of VCSEL are simulated using this model in Pspice program.

Enhancing the Power Grid Small-Signal Stability via Optimally Coordinating Inverter-Based Renewables

open access: yes, 2023
The growing penetration of Inverter-Based Renewables (IBRs) that synchronize with the power grid through phase-lock loops (PLLs) has caused a set of small-signal stability issues.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Small-signal subthreshold model for i.g.f.e.t.s

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1976
Theoretical considerations supported by practical measurements indicate that the small-signal low-frequency behaviour of i.g.f.e.t.s, operating with a significant VDS bias and 1 nA < ID < 1?A, can be represented by a simple model.
