TFT Small Signal Model and Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Electron Device Letters, 2016
We present an accurate small signal model for thin-film transistors (TFTs) taking into account non-idealities, such as contact resistance, parasitic capacitance, and threshold voltage shift. The model gives high accuracy in S-parameters, and the predicted cutoff frequency yields 1% discrepancy compared with measurement results.

Small-Signal Model of STATCOM and Its Model Validation [PDF]

open access: yes2018 IEEE Power & Energy Society General Meeting (PESGM), 2018
This paper proposes a small-signal model of STATCOM based on theoretical derivation. This theoretical model is obtained by linearization of the dc-link control loop, Phase-Locked Loop (PLL), ac voltage control loop under the weak grid condition. In order to validate the correctness of this small-signal model, an identified model in the form of transfer

Virtual Inertia Control and Small-Signal Stability Analysis of Electric Vehicle [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Industrial Electronics, Control and Optimization, 2023
In electric vehicles (EVs), the small size of the dc link capacitor results in significant voltage deviations when there are changes in load or uncertain fluctuations from the power resources. This causes a decline in voltage quality.

Small-Signal Neural Models and Their Applications [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Biomedical Circuits and Systems, 2012
This paper introduces the use of the concept of small-signal analysis, commonly used in circuit design, for understanding neural models. We show that neural models, varying in complexity from Hodgkin-Huxley to integrate and fire have similar small-signal models when their corresponding differential equations are close to the same bifurcation with ...

Research on a Modeling and Control Strategy for Interleaved Boost Converters with Coupled Inductors

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
Interleaved DC–DC converters have significant advantages in improving the capability of power converters, and coupling the filtering inductor of the converter could further increase the power density. However, existing modeling and controller designs are

Synchronous Generator Imitation Control and Dynamic Power Sharing for Distributed Power Generation Systems

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2022
In this paper, a control method called synchronous generator imitation control (SGIC) as well as a dynamic power sharing for distributed power generation systems (DPGSs) are presented. In order to imitate the behavior of a synchronous generator (SG), the

Three-dimensional model of small signal free-electron lasers

open access: yesPhysical Review Special Topics. Accelerators and Beams, 2011
Coherent electron cooling is an ultrahigh-bandwidth form of stochastic cooling which utilizes the charge perturbation from Debye screening as a seed for a free-electron laser.
