Flexible tool for small signal stability analysis
2014 IEEE PES General Meeting | Conference & Exposition, 2014This paper presents the development of a flexible tool for the calculation of the state matrix A of the power system. This program is called SIAM (Sistema Informatico para Analisis Modal — Computational System for Modal Analysis). The state matrix is obtained from the load flow solution data and from the dynamic model parameters employed.

Power System Extended Small Signal Stability Region
MELECON 2006 - 2006 IEEE Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference, 2006A new type of extended small signal stability region (E-SSSR) is presented in this paper so that it can consider the low frequency oscillation phenomena captured in power system operations. The definition of the extended small signal stability region is first given and its boundary structure is discussed.

Stability in Small Signal Common Base Amplifiers
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems I: Regular Papers, 2013This paper presents an analytical study of parasitic oscillation in video bandwidth common base amplifiers. We develop a series of progressively more complex small signal equivalent circuits based on the hybrid-π model [1], [2]. These circuits are developed such that the effect of each new parasitic element on circuit performance is evident.

Robust small signal stability for microgrids under uncertainty
2015 IEEE 6th International Symposium on Power Electronics for Distributed Generation Systems (PEDG), 2015We describe an adapted robust control technique for analyzing microgrid stability under the uncertainty of renewable sources and loads. Two realistic case studies are presented to demonstrate the method's effectiveness as a tool for system design and analysis.
