Small Area Variation in Homeownership
Housing Studies, 2009The aim of the study is two-fold. First, it adds to the existing state-of-the-art housing research by suggesting the implementation of new econometric methodology. Specifically, the study adds to earlier studies of homeownership by adding spatial impacts.

Small Area Variation in Orthopedics
The Journal of Knee Surgery, 2010It is clear that small area variation exists in orthopedics, but there is still much to learn. Given the many unanswered questions regarding area variation, regulatory policy at this time would be premature. The biggest piece of the puzzle that needs to be solved is the influence of disease prevalence and severity.

Broadcast is an efficient way of delivering same content to a group of UEs. Two kinds of MBMS bearers were defined for broadcast over LTE: MBSFN for large area broadcast, SC-PTM for single cell broadcast. However, neither bearer is efficient in small area broadcast.

Medical Care, 1993
This study explores the relationship between small area and economic approaches to defining hospital markets. Both approaches attempt to link populations receiving care with providers who deliver it. The approaches differ fundamentally, however, in their view of the role of alternative sources of inpatient services.

The term “small area” typically refers to a population for which reliable statistics of interest cannot be produced due to certain limitations of the available data. Examples of domains include a geographical region (e.g., a state, county or municipality), a demographic group (e.g., a specific age × sex × race group), a demographic group within a ...

Small area network interconnection
Microprocessing and Microprogramming, 1993Abstract This paper describes two dedicated solutions for small area network interconnections: router and bridge. The router and the bridge are designed for embedded applications based on microcontrollers of the types 8051 and 8044. Considered communication protocols are NBIP and Bitbus.

Small-area estimation (SAe) is concerned with inferences about the districts (subdomains) or another division of a country (the domain) when the subsample sizes for some subdomains are not large enough for reliable inferences about them to be based solely on the subsamples.
