Measurement of the ICRH antenna phasing using antenna strap probe based diagnostic system in EAST tokamak

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology, 2022
To operate the ion cyclotron resonance heating (ICRH) antennas in a better heating state and produce relatively low impurities, it is necessary to control the antenna spectrum by changing the antenna phasing.

Molecular cancer prevention: Intercepting disease

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Oncological practice must evolve, from treating established tumours to proactive cancer interception before clinical manifestation. This will require mechanistic insight into tumour initiation, validated biomarkers of early disease development and redesigned clinical trials, enabling cancer interception to become a core pillar of oncology with the ...

Cooperative Use of IMD and GPT in a 3-Phase Ungrounded Distribution System Linked to a Transformerless Photovoltaic Power Generation Facility

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Distributed generations, using solar photovoltaic (PV) generation systems, are generally connected to ungrounded distribution systems to ensure operational continuity and avoid electro-chemical corrosions.

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

High Power and Long-distance Power Transmission System in Deep Sea Mining

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu, 2022
With the depth of seabed mining increasing, required power of deep sea equipment is increasing, its motor power can even be several megawatts. Compared with land power grid, the capacity of ship power grid is small, direct start of high-power motor will ...

Why human connection is the true metric of research success

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human‐centred mentorship can be shaped by mentor attributes, actions, intrinsic drive and career ambition. Drawing on reflections across Singapore and France, as well as workshop insights from FEBS‐IUBMB ENABLE 2024, this article shows that human‐centred mentorship creates the conditions for sustainable growth, well‐being and retention in research ...

A fault line selection method of small current grounding system based on wavelet de-noising and improved RBF neural network

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2014
The paper proposed a fault line selection method of small current grounding system based on wavelet de-noising and improved RBF neural network. Fault information matrix is obtained after normalization processing for maximum of absolute value of de-noised

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Simulation Analysis of Single-phase Grounding Fault of Resonant Grounding System

open access: yesGong-kuang zidonghua, 2012
For problem of difficult line selection caused by small current of fault line with uncertain direction when single-phase grounding fault happens in resonant grounding system, the paper theoretically analyzed change law of zero-sequence voltage and zero ...
