ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

Estimation of volumetric accuracy based on linear error motion in machining centers
ISO230-1, an international standard of test code for machine tools, has been revised for the first time in 16 years. A volumetric accuracy for three linear axes was defined as a term of multi-axes motion in the revision of ISO 230-1.

Nuclear astrophysical plasmas: ion distribution functions and fusion rates [PDF]
This article illustrates how very small deviations from the Maxwellian exponential tail, while leaving unchanged bulk quantities, can yield dramatic effects on fusion reaction rates and discuss several mechanisms that can cause such deviations.Comment: 9

ABSTRACT Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are rare, high‐flow, vascular anomalies that can occur either sporadically or as part of a genetic syndrome. AVMs can progress with serious morbidity and even mortality if left unchecked. Sirolimus is an mTOR inhibitor that is effective in low‐flow vascular malformations; however, its role in AVMs is unclear.

Small Populations and Offspring Sex‐Ratio Deviations in Eagles [PDF]
Abstract: Stochastic variation of sex ratio has long been appreciated as a potential factor driving small populations to extinction, but it is not the only source of sex‐ratio bias in small populations. We examined whether some consequences of sex allocation could affect extinction risk in small populations of ...

An Ambulatory Method of Identifying Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstructed Gait Patterns
The use of inertial sensors to characterize pathological gait has traditionally been based on the calculation of temporal and spatial gait variables from inertial sensor data.

ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

The assembly process is sometimes blocked due to excessive dimension deviations during large-scale assembly. It is inefficient to improve the assembly quality by trial assembly, inspection, and accuracy compensation in the case of excessive deviations ...

Degenerate self-similar measures, spectral asymptotics and small deviations of Gaussian processes
We find the logarithmic small ball asymptotics for the $L_2$-norm with respect to a degenerate self-similar measures of a certain class of Gaussian processes including Brownian motion, Ornstein - Uhlenbeck process and their integrated counterparts ...
