The effects of bank mergers on small business lending in Germany [PDF]
In this paper, we examine the impact of mergers among German savings banks on the extent to which these savings banks engage in small business lending.

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...

Ubiquitination of secretory granules promotes their crinophagic degradation in Drosophila
Ubiquitination of secretory granules in Drosophila larval salivary glands is a critical molecular trigger for crinophagy, the lysosomal degradation of unreleased, or low‐quality granules. The E3 ubiquitin ligase Cnot4 is recruited to the surface of secretory granules to induce crinophagy.

On uniqueness of two meromorphic functions sharing a small function
In this paper, we have investigated the uniqueness problems of entire and meromorphic functions concerning differential polynomials sharing a small function. Our results radically extended and improved the results of Bhoosnurmath-Pujari and Harina - Anand not only by sharing small function instead of fixed point but also reducing the lower bound of $ n

The application of triazine dyes in enzyme purification and structural studies
A number of triazine dyes, including Cibacron blue F3G-A and Procion blue MX-R, have been covalently attached to microparticulate silica and used for the resolution of proteins by high performance liquid affinity chromatography (HPLAC).

Electron transfer between complexes III and IV in S. cerevisiae mitochondrial membranes
Mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation in S. cerevisiae mitoplasts is limited by complex IV catalytic capacity, rather than two‐dimensional cytochrome c diffusion. At physiological cytochrome c : supercomplex ratios at salinity equivalent to that of 20 mm monovalent salt, activity is maximized, indicating that this low ionic strength accurately mimics

We consider a generalized version of the small Lebesgue spaces, introduced by Fiorenza as the associate spaces of the grand Lebesgue spaces. We find a simplified expression for the norm, prove relevant properties, compute the fundamental function and ...

Drosophila park mutants serve as a model for Parkinson's disease. We used this strain to investigate the connection between oxidative stress and the circadian clock mechanism. We showed that increased oxidative stress affects the physiology of pacemaker cells, disrupting their daily structural plasticity. Lack of rhythmic signaling from pacemaker cells

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
