Small Molecule PET-Radiopharmaceuticals
Current Pharmaceutical Design, 2014This review describes several aspects required for the development of small molecule PET-tracers. Design and selection criteria are important to consider before starting to develop novel PET-tracers. Principles and latest trends in (11)C and (18)F-radiochemistry are summarized.

Small-molecule Arginase Inhibitors
Pharmaceutical Patent Analyst, 2013Arginase is an enzyme that metabolizes L-arginine to L-ornithine and urea. In addition to its fundamental role in the hepatic ornithine cycle, it also influences the immune systems in humans and mice. Arginase participates in many inflammatory disorders by decreasing the synthesis of nitric oxide and inducing fibrosis and tissue regeneration.

Small Molecule CXCR3 Antagonists
Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2015Chemokines and their receptors are known to play important roles in disease. More than 40 chemokine ligands and 20 chemokine receptors have been identified, but, to date, only two small molecule chemokine receptor antagonists have been approved by the FDA.

Small‐molecule AT2 receptor agonists
Medicinal Research Reviews, 2017AbstractThe discovery of the first selective, small‐molecule ATR receptor (AT2R) agonist compound 21 (C21) (8) that is now extensively studied in a large variety of in vitro and in vivo models is described. The sulfonylcarbamate derivative 8, encompassing a phenylthiofen scaffold is the drug‐like agonist with the highest affinity for the AT2R reported ...

Small Molecule Microarray: Functional-Group Specific Immobilization of Small Molecules
2010Proteomic screening with small molecule microarrays can be a powerful tool in conjunction with various forward chemical genetics screening and high-throughput phenotype assays. Small molecule microarray screening can provide high quality information from the direct binding interaction between proteins of interest and a collection of small molecules in ...

Detecting Protein–Small Molecule Interactions Using Fluorous Small-Molecule Microarrays
2010General binding assays involving microarrays of small molecules can be used to identify small molecule ligands for nearly any protein, even in the absence of knowledge about protein structure or function. Several suitable methods for manufacturing small molecule microarrays (SMMs) exist and different immobilization methods may be more or less ...
