Tensile Behavior of 3D Printed Specimens by Small Punch Test [PDF]
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the deformation behavior of 3D printed specimens using the small punch tensile test method. Traditional tensile tests for assessing mechanical properties require a significant amount of material to produce ...

Influence of Test Temperature and Test Frequency on Fatigue Life of Aluminum Alloy EN AW‐2618A
The influence of test temperature and test frequency on the fatigue life of EN AW‐2618A is investigated. High‐cycle fatigue tests are performed at different test temperatures and frequencies on the 1000 h/230°C overaged state. Both test parameters reduce fatigue life due to time‐dependent damage mechanisms.

A Renaissance in the Use of the Small Punch Testing Technique [PDF]
The underlying purpose of this paper is to evaluate whether the CEN CWA 15627 “Small Punch Test Method for Metallic Materials” first published in 2006 has indeed succeeded in providing a stimulus for a wider implementation of the small punch test technique in industrial applications throughout Europe and indeed worldwide.

Controlling the Field Assisted Sintering Technology (FAST) parameters, dwell temperature and cooling rate, significantly influences the microstructural evolution in titanium aluminide GE4822. Significant γ‐lamellar colonies develop only upon cooling through the α‐transus.

Background Two types of skin biopsies are routinely performed in dermatology: excisional and punch biopsies. A punch biopsy is a relatively low-risk procedure for surgical site infections (SSIs) because of the shallow wound depth and short operative time.

This study explores the discrepancies between bulk mechanics and spatial mapping in a tissue‐mimetic hydrogel model. Microplastic particles create localized stiff mechanical microenvironments that are detectable by cellular‐scale nanoindentation but leave bulk properties unchanged as measured by rheology.

Enhancing Low‐Temperature Performance of Sodium‐Ion Batteries via Anion‐Solvent Interactions
DOL is introduced into electrolytes as a co‐solvent, increasing slat solubility, ion conductivity, and the de‐solvent process, and forming an anion‐rich solvent shell due to its high interaction with anion. With the above virtues, the batteries using this electrolyte exhibit excellent cycling stability at low temperatures. Abstract Sodium‐ion batteries
