Biologically‐Inspired Melt Electrowriting for the Generation of Highly Biomimetic Functional Myocardium

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, melt electrowriting is used to fabricate a 3D printed scaffold design that generates engineered cardiac tissues with in‐plane contraction, mimicking natural myocardium. It is shown that these tissues display advanced maturation and functionality.

Alleviation of Aging‐Related Hallmarks in a Mouse Model of Progeria via a Nanoparticle‐Based Artificial Transcription Factor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Oct4‐nanoscript, a biomimetic nanoparticle‐based artificial transcription factor, precisely regulates cellular rejuvenation by activating Oct4 target genes, restoring epigenetic marks, and reducing DNA damage. In a progeria model, it effectively rescued aging‐associated pathologies and extended lifespan.

Connectomic-genetic signatures in the cerebral small vessel disease

open access: yesNeurobiology of Disease, 2022
Small vessel disease (SVD) is a disorder that causes vascular lesions in the entire parenchyma of the human brain. At present, it is not well understood how primary and secondary damage interact to give rise to the complex scenario of white matter (WM ...

Neuroimaging of Cerebral Small Vessel Disease

open access: yesBrain Pathology, 2014
Neuroimaging of cerebral small vessel vascular disease is often nonspecific and the diagnosis is challenging; clinical and family history is pivotal in interpreting neuroimaging findings. Hereditary small vessel diseases have recently gained significant interest, and MRI is a sensitive tool to detect white matter abnormality.

3D (Bio) Printing Combined Fiber Fabrication Methods for Tissue Engineering Applications: Possibilities and Limitations

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...
