Transition metal oxy/carbo‐nitrides show great promise as catalysts for sustainable processes. A Mn‐Mo mixed‐metal oxynitride attains remarkable performance for the direct synthesis of acetonitrile, an important commodity chemical, via sequential C─N and C─C coupling from syngas (C1) and ammonia (N1) feedstocks.

Chip‐Scale Graphene/IGZO Cold Source FET Array Enabling Sub‐60 mV dec−1 Super‐Steep Subthreshold Swing

Super‐steep subthreshold swing (SS) below 60 mV dec−1 is demonstrated in graphene/IGZO cold source transistor arrays. Linear density of states with Dirac cone in graphene suppressed the Boltzmann thermal tail, while high‐k HfO2 dielectric having small body factor enhanced gating efficiency, hereby further reducing SS. Thin, lightweight lithium‐metal anodes are pivotal for practical high‐energy batteries. This review surveys processing routes that convert diverse Li precursors, e.g., ingots, melts, solutions, and vapor, into Li‐rich foils with controlled thickness, areal density, and tailored functionality.

Atomistic Mechanisms Triggered by Joule Heating Effects in Metallic Cu‐Bi Nanowires for Spintronics

Bi doped metallic Cu nanowires are promising for spintronics thanks to the stabilization of a giant spin Hall effect. However, heat resulting from current injection forces Bi to leave solution, forcing segregation into monoatomic decorations which evolve into coherent crystalline aggregates.

Lensfree on-chip microscopy over a wide field-of-view using pixel super-resolution. [PDF]

We demonstrate lensfree holographic microscopy on a chip to achieve approximately 0.6 microm spatial resolution corresponding to a numerical aperture of approximately 0.5 over a large field-of-view of approximately 24 mm2.

Magnetic Domain Texture in Fe3O4 Thin Films on SiO2 Nanospheres

Fe3O4 thin films grown on ordered SiO2 nanospheres form curved nanocaps with 3D geometry, inducing magnetic domain texture. X‐ray spectromicroscopy (XMCD‐PEEM), cross‐sectional electron microscopy (STEM), and polarized grazing‐incidence small‐angle neutron scattering (GISANS) reveal how topography modulates magnetization.
