Time‐Modulated Optomechanics Reveal Energy Flow and Inelastic Interactions Between Acoustic Phonons in Nanomembranes

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Temporal interfaces are abrupt refractive index changes used in time‐varying optics, but also transitions to nonequilibrium states. This work explores the inelastic scattering of time‐varying light by nonthermal acoustic phonons in the vicinity of temporal interfaces.

Guidelines for Meta‐Analytic Structural Equation Modeling: Steps, Resources, and Illustrations

open access: yesPsychology &Marketing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The goal of science is to build incremental, structured, and reliable knowledge over time. Yet, many strands of marketing and related disciplines exhibit symptoms of cumulative stagnation, including lack of replicability and weak theoretical integration. Existing remedies such as replication studies, multistudy investigations, and open science

Accelerated MR Elastography Using Learned Neural Network Representation

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop a deep‐learning method for achieving fast high‐resolution MR elastography from highly undersampled data without the need for high‐quality training datasets. Methods We first reframed the deep neural network representation as a nonlinear extension of the linear subspace model, then used it to represent and reconstruct MRE ...

The monster in the backyard: A cultural analysis of wolf conflict in the American West

open access: yesPeople and Nature, EarlyView.
Abstract Conflict between people and large carnivores remains among the most persistent problems in conservation, threatening carnivore populations and the communities that live alongside them. Decades of technical and financial research and intervention, from livestock protection tools to compensation programs, have not resolved these conflicts ...

A Polar Topology Network Induces Elastic Stiffening in Ferroelectric Oxide Superlattices

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
The periodicity in BiFeO3/SrTiO3 superlattices tunes the system into a dense, elastically constrained polar texture state. This topology‐rich regime reveals a collective mechanical response in which interactions among polar topological defects restrict local deformations, producing a pronounced elastic stiffening.
