However, many people who smoke have tried to quit many times and may like to try an alternative method. Reducing smoking behaviour before quitting could be an alternative approach to cessation.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Using multi‐omic characterization, we aimed to identify key regulators specific to squamous cell lung carcinoma (SqCC). SqCC‐specific differentially expressed genes were integrated with metabolics data. High expression of the creatine transporter SLC6A8, along with elevated creatine levels, appeared to be a distinct metabolic feature of SqCC.

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Plasma‐based detection of actionable mutations is a promising approach in lung cancer management. Analysis of ctDNA with a multigene NGS panel identified TP53, KRAS, and EGFR as the most frequently altered, with TP53 and KRAS in treatment‐naïve patients and TP53 and EGFR in previously treated patients.

High LRIG1 expression predicts lymph node metastasis in patients with uterine cervical cancer
FEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.Lymph node status is crucial in determining treatment for women with early‐stage cervical cancer. We demonstrate that high LRIG1 protein expression in primary tumors can predict lymph node metastases. Our findings support further investigation of LRIG1 as a biomarker to improve staging accuracy and guide treatment decisions in cervical cancer patients.

Age‐Related Changes in Myeloid Cells and Their Impact on Subcutaneous Melanoma Growth in Mice
Aging and Cancer, EarlyView.Our findings reveal that age‐related changes in subcutaneous melanoma growth and immunotherapy response are context‐dependent. In models where tumor growth and treatment resistance increase with age, this effect is partly driven by enhanced immunosuppression from myeloperoxidase‐active Gr‐1⁺ myeloid cells.
