Estimating the uncertainties of satellite derived soil moisture at global scale

open access: yesScience of Remote Sensing
This study attempts to derive the uncertainty of the soil moisture estimation from passive microwave satellite mission at global scale. To do so, the approach is based on the sensitivity of the Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) soil moisture ...

Gli esploratori della Terra

open access: yesGEOmedia, 2010
Earth’s explorers As if in the need to underline that much is still to be discovered about our own planet, the Earth Explorers missions of ESA, the European Space Agency, are part of an intense research  programme called Living Planet.

Optic nerve sheath meningioma exhibits neural niche‐associated transcriptomic features and rare copy number variation‐linked evolution

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
Optic nerve sheath meningiomas are typically NF2‐intact with few copy number alterations and are generally clinically indolent. Rare aggressive recurrences are associated with progressive accumulation of copy number variations, including CDKN2A/B homozygous deletion, 1q gain, and 14q loss.

Molecular and clinical features of a Japanese medulloblastoma cohort: Subgroup‐specific prognostic stratification using economical/accessible diagnostic methods

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the molecular subgroup–specific features of a nationwide Japanese cohort comprising 242 medulloblastomas (MBs). Furthermore, we introduce SEE‐6‐CNA, a simple, cost‐effective, and FFPE‐compatible molecular test that is applicable to routine pathology samples and serves as a surrogate for risk stratification in non‐WNT/non‐SHH ...

Noise Mitigation of the SMOS L1C Multi-Angle Brightness Temperature Based on the Lookup Table

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Owing to the inherently lower sensitivity of microwave aperture synthesis radiometers (ASRs), Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) satellite brightness temperature (TB) measurements exhibit significantly greater system noise than real-aperture ...

The AQUI Soil Moisture Network for Satellite Microwave Remote Sensing Validation in South-Western France

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2018
Global soil moisture (SM) products are currently available thanks to microwave remote sensing techniques. Validation of these satellite-based SM products over different vegetation and climate conditions is a crucial step.

Critical role of the mast cell/tryptase/PAR2 axis in anastrozole‐induced pain

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background and Purpose Anastrozole, an aromatase inhibitor, is used to treat postmenopausal women with hormone receptor‐positive breast cancer, but also induces musculoskeletal pain and can lead to therapeutic regimen suspension. Aromatase inhibitors promote the release of pro‐inflammatory substances from sensitised nerve fibres, which might ...
