Recapitulating Endochondral Ossification for Bone Repair: From Development to Engineering Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the developmental basis of endochondral ossification (ECO) and its applications in bone tissue engineering (BTE). It first outlines the key biological processes and signaling pathways underlying ECO, then discusses biomaterial‐based engineering strategies derived from these principles, and finally highlights future directions for

NIBV Induces Incomplete Autophagy via AMPK‐TFEB, Causing Kidney Injury in Chicks

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that NIBV can inhibit the nuclear translocation of TFEB by suppressing the expression of AMPK, leading to the blockade of autophagolysosomal functions, in turn increasing NIBV replication and triggering severe kidney injury in chicks.

Validation of the SMOS Mission for Space Weather Operations: The Potential of Near Real‐Time Solar Observation at 1.4 GHz

open access: yesSpace Weather, 2021
Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) is an ESA mission observing Earth at 1.4 GHz with full polarimetry. SMOS images are affected by a noise of solar origin produced by the Sun appearing in the antenna's field of view.

Correction of Satellite Sea Surface Salinity Products Using Ensemble Learning Method

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
Although salinity satellites can provide high-resolution global sea surface salinity (SSS) data, the satellite data still display large errors close to the coast.

Restoring Iron Homeostasis via Smoothened Inhibition: A Novel Strategy Against Hearing Loss

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
. ABSTRACT Sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) induced by noise or aminoglycoside antibiotics is a significant public health concern without any FDA‐approved pharmaceutical therapies. Dysregulation of iron homeostasis and its subsequently induced ferroptosis has increasingly been identified as a key mechanism underlying cochlear hair cell (HC) damage ...

Recent Advances in Laser‐Induced Graphene‐Based Gas Sensors: From Sensing Mechanisms to Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

Boosting Sensory Nerve‐to‐Bone Interactions Enhances Hedgehog Mediated Calvarial Bone Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Boosting sensory nerve activity via TrkA agonism strongly accelerates calvarial bone repair in adult mice. Furthermore, single‐cell RNA sequencing and neuron–bone interactome analyses identify these sensory neurons as a direct neural source of Hedgehog pathway ligands. Consequently, these ligands drive osteoblast differentiation of skeletal progenitors,

Spatiotemporal Dynamics of NDVI, Soil Moisture and ENSO in Tropical South America

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
We evaluated the coupled dynamics of vegetation dynamics (NDVI) and soil moisture (SMOS) at monthly resolution over different regions of tropical South America and the effects of the Eastern Pacific (EP) and the Central Pacific (CP) El Niño–Southern ...

The Binary Zoo: The Calculation of Production Rates of Binaries Through 2+1 Encounters in Globular Clusters [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
In studying encounters between binaries and single stars, one is interested in three classes of events: exchanges of stars, hardening of the original binary by a third star, and the production of merged objects.
