Generating the Variety of SMV-Algebras
2010 40th IEEE International Symposium on Multiple-Valued Logic, 2010In this paper we show that the variety of SMV-algebras is generated by those algebras we call hyper real tensorial SMV-algebras. These are the SMV-algebras that can be defined by an MV-algebra A, and a hyper real state, i.e. a normalized and additive map s* : A → [0, 1]* .

Soybean mosaic virus (SMV), a species of the Potyvirus genus in the Potyviridae family, is one of the most typical viral diseases and results in yield and quality loss of cultivated soybean. Due to the depletion of genetic resources for resistance breeding, a trial of genetic transformation to improve disease resistance has been performed by ...

Dilated SMV in Colon Cancer—Is There any Significance
Journal of Gastrointestinal Cancer, 2011Changes in splanchnic circulation have been seen in patients with colorectal cancer. We have previously reported that the inferior mesenteric vein is dilated in rectal cancer. We wanted to assess whether the superior mesenteric vein (SMV) is dilated in right-sided colon cancer. From a colorectal database, three cohorts were formed: right colon cancer ...

Chocolat/SMV: A Translator from CafeOBJ into SMV
Sixth International Conference on Parallel and Distributed Computing Applications and Technologies (PDCAT'05), 2005Chocolat/SMV is a translator that takes a CafeOBJ specification of a transition system called an OTS and generates an SMV specification of a finite version of the OTS. The primary purpose of the translation is to find errors lurked in CafeOBJ specifications of OTSs with SMV.

Verify UML statecharts with SMV
Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences, 2001Formal verification has been widely needed in the development of safety critical systems. In order to introduce the design verification activity in UML developing process, we have developed a verifier of UML Statecharts by using the model checker SMV.

SMV: Selective Multi-Versioning STM
2011We present Selective Multi-Versioning (SMV), a new STM that reduces the number of aborts, especially those of long read-only transactions. SMV keeps old object versions as long as they might be useful for some transaction to read. It is able to do so while still allowing reading transactions to be invisible by relying on automatic garbage collection to
